Bachelor’s thesis deals with the requirements for manager of the construction company. The theoretical part focused on manager attributes, knowledge, managerial activities and the ability to lead the team. The practical part bachelor’s thesis based on the hypotheses, which I checked by a questionnaire survey. This survey finds especially which requirements are placed on managers in the construction company and whether students of Faculty of Civil Engineering Brno University of Technology are comply with these requirements.

Title: Application of managerial activities: cases of basketball teams of different age categories Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out how the coaches of non-professional basketball deal with selected managerial activities and then compare how the application of these selected activities differs across age categories - from the youngest to adults. Methods: In this thesis was used comparison method, as well as the interview method and the questionnaire method. The method of comparation was used to compare the use of selected managerial activities across age categories and how individual coaches work with them. Data for comparation were obtained through personal or online semi-structured interviews with six basketball coaches of individual categories. The generalization of responses was achieved through an electronic questionnaire targeting all female non-professional basketball coaches of selected age categories and with its questions it fills in or founds out facts that followed on from the information obtained in the interviews. Subjects: This diploma thesis is dedicated to the topic of time management in nursing - it deals with four generations of time management and with its different techniques. Furthermore it describes functions and roles of a manager. Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to analyse time management issues that concern nurse managers working in intensive care. The main goal of the research is to answer following question: How do nurse managers in intensive care use and organise their working time? Secondary goals are: to name priorities of nurse managers on an ordinary working day, to find out which timekeeping devices do nurse managers use for direct measuring of time consumption, to analyze managerial strategies used by nurse managers for their time management, to sum up the most frequent tasks postponed by nurse managers for a later time and find the reasons of procrastination. Methodology: Data were gained through a combined quantitative and qualitative research design.
